ok- so big news in the smallish life of annie brown. i have made round one of the magistical memories dt. there are 2 rounds. and so i am doubtful i'll make round 2. but a girl can dream. i'm just gonna give it my best shot. i'm excited and honored that i made it this far. what a cool company to be associated with.

you will love the doodlebug christmas kit featured at www.cropstop.com this month. awesome papers, so christmas-ie. love the cards i was able to crank out with this kit. a little bit goes a long way, and everything made in these pics was from the kit. i didn't add extras from my own stash. the kits are an awesome value.

on my birdie, i used a paisley for the wing, cardstock for the beak & feet, then used stickles on the eye.


ok, so here's my challenge:

you have to use a die cut of a bird on your project (can be a project you are using for another cropstop challenge) but you have to embellish the bird. oooohh yeah. and it has to be supa-cute. since cropstops nov kit is christmas themed, i'm considering my bird to be "a partridge in a pear tree." and here is my supa cute bird. and yes, its from the nov kit. check back tomorrow and you will see all my november kit creations. email me your project (deanniecarol@yahoo.com) and i'll pick 2 lucky winners for a few goodies.

this is challenge #8 i did for scrap schemes. i love using circles in my layouts. and i love the cheery cherry line from creative imaginations. what a cool combo. i also used lots of stickles on this layout, thanks to cropstop. thanks hj for all the colors of stickles, they are addictive.

this is a birthday card i made for my dad. inside was a gift card for red lobster. so guess which one he liked better- the card or gift card? did i mention the fact that he is a male?

my card is for my momma. she won the fcs star award this week. and she won a week long trip for her and dad to go to dc and see all the sights, all expenses paid. and our family is very proud of her- so i made this congrats card for her.

last night's class kits are available for purchase- $25 plus shipping. (i will ship the cheapest shipping method. i have 5 kits available. first come/first served. you can leave a comment or email me with the subject line "class kits 8/28/08." all cardstock is either bazzill or dcwv textured papers; cardstock colors vary with each layout however they all coordinate with the pp. 90% papers are from the ki pop culture line. when you get your kit, a few substitutions may be made on the pp, and your kit may have more than one of a pp to choose from on a few layouts. layouts 1 & 2 are scraplifts. you know you do it too. lol. off to work after 4 hours of sleep. but hey- its friday, right? and tonight i'm scrapbooking with mom & sherryl, so i'll have that to look forward to!

altered mini purse

i made this little mini purse for claire. she loves it when i make her stuff. i'm sure it will hold many treasures- jolly ranchers, bubble gum, one earring because she lost the other one, phone numbers of friends that have been scribbled on a scrap piece of paper, polly pockets, a rubber band, or maybe it will just get shoved in her closet with all the other "lost" items that will never again be seen. ahh, to be seven years old again.

today's overachiever count: its august 14 and i've made 17 layouts and 31 cards. and no- i don't have 31 friends if thats what you are wondering. but hey- you never know, rockstar husband could go mainstream tomorrow. and i could get 31 instant friends. and elsie flannigan could be workin' for me. shaaah right. and monkeys might fly out my butt.

love card

this was a card that i made from a sketch at 2sketches4you, which is one of my favorite sketch sites. i had originally made it for an anniversary card, but i gave this card away yesterday at a bridal shower. and i must say- my card was the coolest one there. lol. items used were: hambly transparency with brown circles, hand stitching with embroidery thread, prima flowers, queen & co brads, bazzill edges, elsie softies, heidi swapp chipboard heart.
